What's the best temperature to install CruzArmor? At CruzArmor we prefer warmer weather, as we are in California. 60-80 Degrees is optimal. However, if you're in lower temperatures, around 50 Degrees, you'll have to reduce soap content by a Drop or two and be more patient during anchoring. 90 Degrees and higher, you may have to Add a drop or two of soap and make sure to keep everything soaked with that solution as things do dry quicker!

Should I use Black or Clear CruzArmor on my Fork legs that don’t have any pitting? At CruzArmor, We suggest that on a brand-new Motorcycle it would be best to use clear. The "Clear Fork Kit" will keep your fork legs & cans from getting scratches, nicks or chips. If you have pitting, nicks or chips from a few months or years of riding, the "Black Fork Kit" will conceal them nicely making them look new again! They'll stay that way too!
-
Does CruzArmor stay or lift when washing? At CruzArmor we recommend hand washing all Motorcycles. But, if you decide to use a heavier option like a power-washer, just avoid direct contact with the edges of the material or you could definitely lift the edges.
-
How would I prep the Fuel Tank area if my cut, chaps, or boots have already scuffed & dulled the paint?Best option is to have the area buffed & detailed prior to installing CruzArmor film, however, our high-gloss, self-healing film does become the new top-coat surface, and dulled or micro scratched paint will actually look new underneath CruzArmor. If however, you have deeper scratches or nicks that are through the color, or that you can feel with your finger nail, or, surface scratches/damage that extends outside of the protection kit pattern area, then we would recommend you have paint correction done prior to installing CruzArmor, to end up with the highest quality finished look.
-
How do you replace CruzArmor years down the road?CruzArmor protection can be removed easily years down the road, without damaging the underlying painted surface, and will not leave behind all of the adhesive, like many of the protective films on the market. Here is a quick removal video to show the process:
-
Which side of my bike is left and right? At CruzArmor our Left and Right will be while seated on your Motorcycle. So when receiving a DIY or Professional Kit. The L & R applies to your Motorcycle while in riding position!

Define soapy water and alcohol? At CruzArmor our soap and alcohol mix instructions are included with each kit for installation. The soap mixture is about 8 small pea size drops of Johnson & Johnsons Baby Shampoo, in 32oz. of water. The alcohol/anchor mixture is 75% water mixed with 25% Isopropyl Alcohol (70% concentrated alcohol).
-
Do the kits have squeegee tool and Soap/Alcohol products? At CruzArmor when you order a kit there will be an Instruction card (including details on install & soap alcohol mixture), squeegee tool & pre-cut material to fit the most vulnerable surfaces. Won't include needed Johnsons Baby Shampoo, Isopropyl Alcohol or spray bottle.
-
Why is my CruzArmor really sticky and/or too slippery while applying? At CruzArmor we created a ratio that works! (To see recipe look at our FaQ's) If you find that the CruzArmor material keeps sliding around, and doesn’t want to tack, then add more water to your slip mix. If it seems to tack/stick too aggressively, then you need another drop or two of soap in your mix.
